A 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Tuesday on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery and being in violation of a restraining order, according to the Carson City Sheriff's Office.
The man was arrested at 3:28 a.m. in the 1700 block of Russell Way. According to the arrest report, Carson City sheriff's deputies were called to the address after a report came in of two men arguing.
The suspect was gone by the time officers arrived. It was learned the suspect had been arguing with a male friend of the victim. Deputies were told the suspect had been at the residence and that he had hit a female in the back of the head multiple times with his hand. The woman had a restraining order against the man issued from April 19, 2013 to Dec. 2, 2014. The man returned to the residence at 3:20 a.m. and was arrested. Bail: $4,274.
In arrests made on Monday: A 55-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 4 p.m. in the 3300 block of Imperial Way on a misdemeanor charge of being in violation of his probation.
Officers arrived at the residence to check on a man who was on probation with a no drinking clause after an anonymous call to dispatch reporting that he had been drinking. Officers contacted the man who smelled of alcohol. A preliminary breath test showed a .110. He was taken to jail. Bail: $3,000.
— A 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 9:45 a.m. in the 4300 block of South Carson Street on a failure to appear traffic citation. The man was stopped for driving on an expired vehicle registration. Officers learned of the warrant for his arrest, issued April 3, 2014, during the traffic stop. Bail: $955.
— A 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Monday, 12:20 a.m. on charges of probation violation and possession of a controlled substance and a gross misdemeanor charge of possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription.
Officers arrived at the home to serve a warrant issued April 15, 2014 out of Carson City Juvenile Justice Court. Upon arrival officers detained the man, who said he had a bag of "shrooms" in his pocket and a Xanax. Bail: $5,000.
