A 21-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday on a felony failure to appear warrant issued out of Reno Justice Court on drug charges.
Shelby Moorhead is being held without bail on the felony warrant and will be extradited to Reno. She also faces a misdemeanor warrant charge of being in violation of a suspended sentence. There is a $1,000 bail amount issued for that.
According to the arrest report, officers responded to the 700 block of Hot Springs Road Tuesday night in reference to an unwanted subject. On arrival officers made contact with the reporting party who advised that two women were inside the apartment and intoxicated.
A deputy made contact with Moorhead inside and dispatch advised she had the two confirmed warrants, first out of Reno for failure to appear with no bail and the other out of Carson City for violation of a suspended sentence, failure to pay restitution, provide proof of substance abuse counseling and completion of community service. She was arrested at 11:46 p.m.
In misdemeanor-related arrests:
— A 65-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 2:11 a.m., Dec. 25, in the 1900 block of North Carson Street. He faces a misdemeanor charge of being on probation with an arrest.
According to the arrest report, officers responded to a casino in the 1900 block of North Carson Street in reference to a battery that occurred. The officer made contact with the victim, who smelled of an alcoholic beverage and admitted to consuming alcohol inside the casino.
Dispatch advised the man was on Alternative Sentencing with a "no alcohol" clause. The man submitted to a preliminary breath test with the results of .17. Dispatch advised Alternative Sentencing had a wants and warrants hold on the man if he was arrested. He was taken to jail without incident. Bail: $3,000.
— A 52-year-old Carson City man was arrested Dec. 25, 4:04 a.m. at the intersection of State and East William Street on a criminal contempt warrant issued Oct. 11, 2013, from the Nevada Highway Patrol. The man was walking in the middle of the road near State Street and was intoxicated. Bail: $645.
— A 63-year-old Carson City man was arrested Dec. 25, 12:47 a.m. in the 1600 block of Medical Parkway. He faces a misdemeanor charge of trespassing. According to the arrest report, officers were called to the address in reference to an unwanted subject. On arrival officer made contact with security who advised that a patient was treated and released and refused to leave. Bail: $192.
— A 21-year-old Carson City woman visiting the civil division of the Carson City Sheriff's Office on Dec. 24, was taken into custody at 9:50 a.m. for a failure to appear warrant (traffic-related) issued out of Sparks Township Justice Court. Bail: $240.
Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
