
A 25-year-old transient was arrested Monday outside an East William Street bar on felony charges of assault and battery with a deadly weapon after allegedly stabbing a man in the hand with a multi-tool and threatening another with a screwdriver, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Ian M. Kennedy was booked at 4:33 p.m. on the charges. According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to the bar in the 300 block of East William Street after a report of a fight involving three men. Witnesses said Kennedy allegedly brandished a knife.
Kennedy, who was intoxicated, had been told earlier to leave the bar after fighting with patrons. He returned and started another fight, this time with a screwdriver and a Leatherman type multi-tool, according to the arrest report. He was arrested on the felony charges and taken to jail. A breath test showed he had a .223 breath alcohol content, the arrest report states. His bail was set at $50,000.

— A 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 9:27 a.m. in the 100 block of East Hampton Drive on misdemeanor suspicion of drawing a weapon in a threatening manner, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called to a residence for a domestic dispute. Arriving officers met with the suspect who said he had a concealed firearms permit and that his gun was in the car. He explained when he showed up at the residence heard yelling from inside. He said he entered the home with the firearm and that his brother told him to go outside and wait for deputies to arrive.
Officers then spoke with the victim of the domestic dispute who said she and her boyfriend began arguing. She said the suspect walked inside the home and pointed the gun at her and threatened to kill her. She said that her boyfriend told his brother to leave because sheriff’s deputies were on their way.
The victim told the officer the suspect said “I don’t care I will kill the b****,” the arrest report states. The victim told deputies she feared for her life and for the lives of her children who were present at the time. The victim said she wanted to press charges for pointing the gun at her. Bail: $637.
