A 31-year-old man was arrested Thursday, 12:58 a.m. in the 2600 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of DUI, driving in the middle lane for 200 feet and violation of bail conditions, all misdemeanors, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, officers stopped the Dayton man after observing him enter the middle driving lane past Airport Road where he traveled approximately 500 feet in the center before stopping at the red light at Highway 50 and Lompa Lane.
The man admitted to consuming alcohol, handed the officer his driver’s license and vehicle registration but said he did not have the insurance with him but instead pulled it up on his cell phone.
He was asked to submit to field sobriety tests and failed three out of four tests, the arrest report states. He was taken into custody. He was given a choice for the evidentiary breath test or blood sample. The man said he was observing his rights and told the officer to go ahead and apply for a warrant. It was granted by a Carson City Judge and blood was drawn. Bail: $4,209.
— A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 1:51 a.m. in the 300 block of North Carson Street on a misdemeanor warrant, failure to comply, issued Oct. 4, 2011 out of Reno Municipal Court. Bail: $2,000.
A 32-year-old Carson City man, Bryon Justin Fillmore, was arrested Wednesday, 11:01 a.m. in the 3000 block of South Carson Street on felony parole and probation violation. According to the arrest report, the man had been in a bar and was on probation with conditions not to drink. The man gave a preliminary breath test of .191. He’s being held without bail pending a hearing.
— A 25-year-old Carson City woman, Angela Jo Moen, was arrested Wednesday, 4:41 p.m. on a felony warrant, failure to appear on a possession of a controlled substance charge, issued Dec. 29, 2014 out of First Judicial District Court in Carson City. She is being held without bail pending a hearing.
— A 38-year-old transient, Christopher Lewis Fred, was booked into jail Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. on a felony warrant, battery with a deadly weapon, issued Dec. 24, 2014 out of Carson City Justice Court. He also had a warrant, violation of bail conditions, issued Dec. 29, 2014 out of the same court. Bail: $13,000.
— A 34-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 11:50 p.m. in the area of Dale Drive on a misdemeanor charge of suspicion of DUI. According to the arrest report, the man was stopped after there was a report of a disturbance at a home. Officers arrived and saw two men arguing and then one of the men get inside a vehicle and begin to drive.
The officer ordered the driver to stop. The man showed signs of intoxication and admitted he had been drinking tequila since that morning. He was taken to the hospital to be medically evaluated after he said he had been assaulted by his neighbor. Officers noticed that the man’s left forehead was bleeding. At the hospital he told staff several times that he was drunk. He voluntarily provided a blood sample for suspected DUI. Bail: $1,137.
— A 37-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday, 10 a.m. in the 1500 block of Edmonds Drive on misdemeanor warrant charges of violation of a suspended sentence, contempt of court and failure to appear. Two of the warrants were issued out of Carson City Justice Court on Feb. 19, 2014 and Jan. 31, 2014. The third warrant was issued out of NHP Reno. Bail: $4,440.
— A 21-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday, 12:33 p.m. in the 1300 block of Laloma Drive on a misdemeanor warrant, failure to appear, issued Sept. 26, 2013 out of Reno Township Court. Bail: $475.
— A 46-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 8:27 p.m. in the area of North Carson street and College Parkway on five misdemeanors: driving on a suspended license, open container and suspended registration. He also had two misdemeanor warrants, failure to comply issued Jan. 22, 2011 out of Reno Township Court and insufficient checks, issued Sept. 24, 2013, also out of Reno Township Court. According to the arrest report, an officer stopped the man after nearly hitting a car as he pulled in front of it on North Carson Street. A computer check showed the vehicle registration and license was suspended. During inventory of the vehicle officers found an open and partially consumed can of Bud Light in the center console of the car. He was arrested and taken to jail. Bail: $2,166.
— A 42-year-old Sacramento, Calif., man was arrested Wednesday, 11:59 p.m. in the 900 block of North Carson Street on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery first offense. According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to a motel on Carson Street regarding an argument where the suspect had allegedly made threats. The suspect and the victim got into a verbal argument at a casino. Officers watched a video from casino security where the victim was being yelled at by the suspect and then grabbed. He would not let her go.
Officers located the man at the motel and arrested him on the domestic battery charge. Bail: $3,000.
— A 59-year-old Stateline, Nev., man was arrested Wednesday, 5:59 p.m. in the area of Carson and 10th Street on a misdemeanor warrant, failure to pay traffic fines, issued Nov. 25, 2014 out of Tonopah Township Court and driving on a suspended driver’s license. Officers spoke with the man after a vehicle accident on Carson Street and learned of the warrant through dispatch. Bail: $577.
— A 43-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 4:55 p.m. in the 1500 block of Sharon Drive on a misdemeanor charge of being an ex-felon failing to register. Bail: $242.
— A Carson City man was arrested Dec. 29, 3:41 a.m. in the area of Northridge and New Ridge Drive on four misdemeanor charges: possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a valid license, driving on a suspended registration and having no proof of insurance. According to the arrest report, the officer stopped the white Mercedes SUV because its registration had been suspended.
The officer asked the man to provide vehicle insurance, registration and driver’s license. The man was only able to provide a Nevada ID card that expired in 2012, the arrest report states. The man was asked if he had valid insurance or a license and the man said he did not. He was informed the vehicle would be towed based on the violations. An inventory of the car was done before towing. Officers found a box with a methamphetamine pipe inside the car. Bail: $2,178.
A Carson City man was arrested Dec. 28, 10:53 p.m. in the area of North Carson and Musser streets on misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Officers stopped the vehicle after it was going 35 mph in a 25 mph zone at Carson and Washington streets and its vehicle brake light was not working. During the traffic stop the officer could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle. A K9 was called and the dog detected a positive on a sniff. Also the man had been searched and a marijuana pipe was found in his pockets. Prior to the search the man told officers there was a pipe and a bag of marijuana in the vehicle. Officers recovered both. Bail: $1,874.
A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested Dec. 28, 5:46 p.m. in the 120 block of Corbett Street on misdemeanor larceny and obstructing charges. The man had allegedly stolen a pair of sunglasses and a projector, valued at less than $100 from Grocery Outlet, the arrest report states. The store employee asked the man to return the items but he took off running. A video showed the man grabbing the projector and sunglasses and leaving the property. Officers recognized the man after having arrested him a week prior for petit larceny. Bail: $764.
— A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested Dec. 28, 9:11 p.m. in the 500 block of Jeanell Drive on suspicion of domestic battery and destruction of property, both misdemeanors. According to the arrest report, police were called to the home and spoke with a victim who said she had been punched by a man through a window that shattered after an argument over an Xbox, the arrest report states.
The woman said she tried to take the Xbox from the man as he was moving out of the residence. She told the suspect the computer gaming device did not belong to him.
The man left the house saying he was going to harm the woman, the arrest report states. Outside the home he began yelling at the woman through a bedroom window and then punched the window breaking it while landing the punch, striking the woman. She had sustained an abrasion on her right upper cheek near her eye.
Arriving officers asked the man if he had punched the window and struck the woman. The man told the officer, “I don’t know. Maybe,” according to the arrest report. Bail: $3,774.
— A 56-year-old Carson City man, Timothy Brian Johnson, was arrested Dec. 28, 4:48 p.m. in the 2000 block of West College Parkway on a felony warrant, fraudulent use of a credit or debit card. The warrant was issued Dec. 24, 2014 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $5,000.
Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
