Carson City Sheriff's deputies arrested a woman Wednesday evening for her third DUI offense since 2008.
According to the arrest report, a deputy observed a blue Toyota Prius driven by Monette Martin, 52, drive through the road closed barricade at the corner of Saliman and Robinson streets. After stopping her, the deputy reported that he smell alcohol and gave the suspect a field sobriety test, which she wasn't able to complete satisfactorily. A preliminary breath test showed a blood alcohol level of .127.
Prior to placing the suspect under arrest, the deputies saw her put something into her mouth, which turned out to be half a tablet of Hydrocodone. They found four more tablets in her front pocket.
The arrest report said the suspect had been previously arrested for DUI in 2008 and 2009, and admitted to the arresting deputy that she had been convicted both times.
Martin was arrested for felony DUI third offense, gross misdemeanor possession of prescription drugs without a prescription, and misdemeanor failure to obey a traffic control device. Bail was set at $12,582.
