Carson City Sheriff's deputies arrested Allen Dwayne Reed, 50, a Carson City musician, at 8:40 p.m. Monday evening, at the 600 block Cottonwood Drive in Carson City. Reed was arrested for felony suspicion of possession of pornography depicting a minor under the age of 16. Bail was set at $20,000.
At around 1 a.m. Tuesday, an officer arrested David Bryant, 33, a golf ball diver from Reno, near the intersection of Brown Street and Highway 50 East. Bryant was arrested for a gross misdemeanor failure to appear after posting bail, and the following alleged misdemeanor charges: failure to use a turn signal, no driver's license, obstruction, driving under the influence of alcohol, and contempt of court. Bail was set at $4,971 plus administrative fees.
A 19-year-old Gardnerville woman was arrested in the 1100 block of Ginger Lane just before 4 p.m. Monday afternoon for the misdemeanor allegations of willfully damaging a police vehicle and obstructing and delaying justice. An officer was dispatched to a group home on a call about an uncooperative female. The officer informed the female that there was no hold on her and she was free to leave at any time. The female displayed "not one but both middle fingers," leading the officer to leave and enter his vehicle. As the officer left the property, the female threw rocks at the vehicle, damaging it and leading to her arrest.
