A 17-year-old runaway from California who escaped from the juvenile detention facility at 5th & Saliman on Saturday morning was apprehended about an hour later, after he allegedly broke into a home and stole clothes and a cell phone.
Carson City deputies were alerted to the escape at 9:46 a.m. and had officers on foot and horseback searching the open fields between Saliman Road and the Carson City bypass looking for the subject. They found the subject in that area about an hour later, after a report that he has allegedly broken into a home in the 1700 block of Duke Road, where he changed clothes and took a cell phone.

—Deputies investigated an incident on Friday evening where a subject fell out of a moving vehicle on Snyder Avenue and landed head first on the pavement, knocking him unconscious.
—A woman reported she was robbed by a man with a knife in the 600 bock of Roop Stret. The suspect was reported to be a white male adult, no facial hair, wearing black shirt and pants and a black and white bandana on his head.
—Jacob Tyler Thompson, 20, of Carson City, was arrested Sunday afternoon in the 3300 block of South Carson Street on a felony burglary warrant out of Lyon County. According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the scene after a report that the subject was causing a disturbance at an apartment complex and using profanity in front of little children and acting irate. A check found he had an outstanding warrant. Bail was set at $25,000.
—Karen Mullen, 31, of Carson City, was arrested Sunday afternoon at Fuji Park for felony probation violation. Deputies were called to the park after a report of a domestic dispute. The subject was found having an argument with her ex-husband. According to the arrest report, the subject admitted to drinking alcohol and being on probation. Deputies confirmed the subject was on probation with a no-alcohol clause. A breath test showed she had a blood alcohol content of .183. She was held without bail.
