Weekend crime report

The following persons were arrested by the Carson City Sheriff's Office this weekend:

—Rigoberto Vega, 31, of Carson City, was arrested Saturday afternoon for being a convicted person in possession of a firearm (a felony), gross misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon, misdemeanor riding a dirt bike on the street, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy spotted the subject riding an unlicensed dirt bike on the street without a helmet. The deputy recognized the subject, and knew that he had numerous firearms charges and is known to carry a firearm. He noticed the subject had a bulge in his waistband, and when the subject tried to reach for that bulge, the deputy grabbed his hand and cuffed him. The bulge turned out to be a Smith & Wesson 9mm semi-automatic handgun. Bail was set at $23,699.

—Bradford. J. Rineer, 28, no address listed, was arrested Saturday morning in the 300 block of North Carson Street for felony probation violation. A patron of a bar told a deputy that a man was apparently hiding from him. The deputy found the subject, who was on probation and is prohibited from going into a bar or consuming alcohol. He was held without bail.

—Lucas Nathan Vine, 29, of Carson City, was arrested early Saturday morning inthe 1400 block of Flintwood Drive for preventing a victim from reporting a crime and discharging a firearm into an occupied residence, both felonies, and misdemeanor battery constituting domestic violence. The victim reported that the subject fired a gun inside the house, and then tried to prevent her from talking to 911. Bail was set at $23,132.

—A 43-year-old Carson City woman was arrest early Monday morning in the 200 block of Jeanell for misdemeanor disorderly conduct, obstructing and resisting. She apparently got into a fight with her male roommate, and reportedly tried to stab him with a knife. According to the arrest report, the subject was very intoxicated and verbally abusive, repeatedly using racial slurs against the deputy. Her bail was set at $991.

—Two adult males and a juvenile male were arrested Friday evening in the 3300 block of Retail Way for fighting. Plain-clothes deputies who were in the area as part of the Tri-County Gang Unit saw the trio fighting in front of a restaurant. The two adults were held on $1,132 bail each.
