Graduation days are soon upon us and many will celebrate. Now is a good time to talk to your graduate about the dangers of overindulgence. Whether it is having too much to drink at a party and ending up in the hospital or choosing to drink and drive and finding yourself in a vehicle crash, education does not stop once the diploma is handed to you.
Should you choose to consume alcoholic beverages while celebrating, have a friend be a designated driver or call for a cab to take you home. Try to avoid binge drinking parties as these can be dangerous due to the amount of alcohol that is being consumed in a short period of time.
Life is full of challenges and difficult decisions. Success is based on the choices that you make. Choosing to drink and drive is one choice that can change your future if you are involved in a serious crash which leads to you or others being injured.
You should feel good about your accomplishments and even better when you realize that you can celebrate life’s achievements without alcohol affecting your future decisions.
