Carson City sheriff's arrest log for weekend and Monday

Here is the Carson City sheriff’s arrest report for Monday. Go here for felony arrests made during the weekend.

A 63-year-old transient, Evencio Gutierrez, was booked Monday, 5:25 p.m. into Carson City Jail on a felony warrant, violation of parole, issued July 5, 2006. He is being held without bail pending a hearing.

— A 50-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 9:39 p.m., in the 900 block of Carson Street on suspicion of violating a temporary protective order, a misdemeanor. The man allegedly called and texted a woman who had the order on him.

When officers arrived to meet with the victim, the man was on the phone with the woman and then hung up, the arrest report states. The victim told the officer she answered the phone to prove the man was in violation of the order and showed the officer three text messages and 10 phone calls made from him.

Officers arrived at a motel room to arrest the man, who refused to answer the door. After about 20 minutes of knocking the man answered and was taken into custody. Bail: $1,137.

— A 55-year-old man was arrested Monday, 7 p.m. in the 300 block of East Winnie, on suspicion of DUI, a misdemeanor.
According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to a bar to assist another deputy with a traffic accident where he believed one of the drivers was under the influence. Officers met with the man, who was unsteady on his feet, had red, watery eyes and smelled strongly of alcohol.
The man attempted and failed a series of field sobriety tests and blew a .130 for a preliminary breath test. He was arrested with a DUI charge and taken to jail. Bail: $1,137.

— A 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 10:44 p.m. in the 900 block of Palo Verde for being a minor consuming alcohol. Officers were called to the area for an intoxicated person threatening to hurt himself, yelling and cussing. Officers spoke with the man who admitted that he had been drinking but denied saying he wanted to hurt himself. He had a preliminary breath test of .164. Bail: $242.

— A 22-year-old Carson City woman was booked Monday into Carson City Jail on two misdemeanor warrants issued out of Carson City Justice Court: Failure to appear and violation of condition terms. Bail: $1,500.

— A 35-year-old Sparks man was booked Monday, 6:30 a.m., into Carson City Jail on a misdemeanor warrant, violation of a suspended sentence, failure to meet monthly reporting requirements. Bail: $3,000.

Those arrested and facing criminal charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
