California man arrested on felony drug charge, admits to writing graffiti on bus stop covers

An 18-year-old Concord, Calif., man was booked Friday into Carson City Jail on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor charges related to graffiti after admitting to law officers that he marked up bus stop covers and electrical boxes with a shoe polish pen.

Logan Robert Czujko was arrested at 12:20 a.m. According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to a casino in the 3800 block of South Carson Street. Casino security stated they observed a man writing graffiti on bus stop covers and electrical boxes. Security informed dispatch they also had video of the man, wearing a black hat, sweatshirt and pants and were tracking him.

Deputy Riggin was first to arrive where security guided him to the subject matching the description. He detained Czujko, who immediately admitted to the deputy that he had been writing on the bus stop covers and electrical boxes with a Kiwi shoe polish pen, the arrest report states. The deputy found the pen and while searching the man found methamphetamine in his wallet.

Security provided officers surveillance video of Czujko writing on the two bus stop covers and two electrical boxes. He was booked into jail on the drug and two vandalism charges. Bail: $3,774.

In other felony-related arrests:
— A 22-year-old inmate in Carson City jail will be extradited to Washington State on a felony fugitive from justice warrant. Daniel Garcia was booked on the additional charge Dec. 19, 2:55 p.m. He has a no-bail hold awaiting extradition.

— A Carson City man was arrested Dec. 20, 1 p.m. in the 3400 block of Airport Road. Jeffery Christopher Haugen, 30, faces a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance and a gross misdemeanor charge of possession of a prescription drug without a prescription.

The Special Enforcement Team of the Carson City Sheriff's Office was patrolling the Airport Road area and saw a man matching the description of a person wanted on a warrant. The man was detained. During the pat down search for weapons the officer located a plastic baggie stuck to a key ring and inside the baggie were several pills, identified as Methocarbamol, and Clonazepam, a schedule IV drug only allowed through prescription. Bail: $2,500.

In misdemeanor-related arrests:
— A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested Dec. 22, 6:17 a.m. at Robinson and Drew streets. He faces five misdemeanor charges including driving under the influence.

According to the arrest report, officers patrolling the area of Saliman Road and Robison Street observed a white Honda run the stop sign and turn west on Robinson. the officer activated his overhead lights and conducted a traffic stop. The arresting officer could smell an odor of alcohol coming from the man's breath. He was asked if he had been drinking to which he stated he had. He agreed to participate in Standarized Field Sobriety tests which he showed signs of impairment. He was placed under arrest for DUI first offense.

Officers were advised by dispatch that the man was on Alternative Sentencing and was instructed to obey all laws. Alternative Sentencing was notified of the traffic stop. When the officer arrived at the jail, he constented to do a breath test where he provided two samples of .112 and .110.

As he was being booked a jail sergeant asked the arresting officer if had dropped any evidence. The officer said he had not. On the ramp to the jail was a small bag of marijuana and a glass pipe. Additional charges were added, including possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $6,088.

— A 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested Dec. 22, 1:50 a.m. in the 300 block of North Stewart Street. he faces three misdemeanor charges including trespassing, disorderly conduct and minor consuming alcohol. Bail: $711.

— A 32-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 2700 block of Highway 50 East on Dec. 22, at 12:37 a.m. She faces a misdemeanor charge of being in violation of a suspended sentence. The woman was stopped in the parking lot of a convenience store for having a broken tail light. Bail: $3,000.

— A 29-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Dec. 21 after turning himself in on a misdemeanor domestic battery warrant out of Carson City. Bail: $10,000.

— A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested Dec. 21, 4:35 p.m. at North Peters and East Adams street on a misdemeanor warrant.

According to the arrest report, officers observed a vehicle and did a check on the registration of the vehicle, which came back that a warrant was attached to the license plate. The officer did a u-turn and observed the vehicle take off at a high rate of speed on Carson Street.

The officer observed the vehicle turn eastbound on Rice Street. The officer turned on the street and the car was parked in the center of the roadway and was unoccupied. The officer checked with a local bar and asked whether anyone had entered the establishment matching the description. Patrol officers in the area began pursuit of the area, and found the man near the intersection of North Peters and East Adams. He was arrested and faces a warrant charge issued out of Carson City Justice Court on Dec. 18, 2013. Bail: $1,000.

— A 60-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Dec. 21, in the 2200 block of Lone Mountain Drive. She faces a misdemeanor charge of battery.

According to the arrest report, officers responded to the location at around 1 p.m. On the scene a woman walked up to the patrol vehicle and stated "great not another Mexican, OK, yeah I hit him on the chest, go ahead and take me to jail." The officer exited the vehicle and the woman began to walk away from the officer. The officer ordered the woman to stop several times but she refused to comply. The officer detained her and then spoke with the man who reported the battery.

The man said he is a maintenance worker who was on the property working inside the garage when the woman walked up to him, began yelling at him and then punched him in the chest with a closed fist, the arrest report states. The man stated he wanted to place the woman under citizens arrest for battery. Bail: $1,137.

— A 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested Dec. 21, 12:32 a.m. in the 3200 block of Market Street. He faces a misdemeanor charge of minor consuming alcohol. Bail $242.

— A 31-year-old woman was arrested Dec. 21, 2:59 a.m. near the intersection of College Parkway and North Carson Street. She faces misdemeanor charges of DUI and due care.

According to the arrest report, offiers responded to a traffic accident on Norhth Carson Street near College Parkway. On arrival an officer observed a vehicle occupied by the woman. The vehicle came to a stop on a sideway just off of the roadway, the engine was running, lights on and the gear selector was still in driver. The woman as seated in the driver's seat, head back and appeared to be sleeping.

The officer woke the woman up, asked for her driver's license, registration and insurance. The officer attempted several imes but was unable to locate any of the items. The woman spoke with a thick slurred speech, had red watery eyes and smelled of alcohol. The woman admitted to officers that she had consumed at least five beers recently, the arrest report states. She submitted to field sobriety testing in which she couldn't satisfactorily complete. she submitted to a preliminary breath test with failed results and was taken into custody.

At jail she was read the implied consent notice where she chose to take a breath test. Her first breath sample, taken at 4:30 a.m., came back with a result of .205. A second breath sample came in at .200. Bail: $1,284.

— A 27-year-old Gardnerville man was booked into Carson City Jail at 7:45 a.m. Dec. 20 on misdemeanor charges of contempt of court and violation of conditions for probation. Bail: $4,000.

— A 24-year-old Carson City woman was booked into jail on Dec. 20, 8 a.m. on a misdemeanor charge of violation of conditions of probation. Bail: $3,000.

— A 22-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Dec. 20 10:55 a.m. on a misdemeanor warrant charge of violation of probation. Bail: $3,000.

— A Carson City man and woman were arrested Dec. 20, 8:33 a.m. in the 1200 block of Camille Drive on misdemeanor court warrants. The female, 20, had a warrant for her arrest out of Carson City Justice Court issued Sept. 4, 2013. Bail: $500. The man, 19, had a battery warrant for his arrest issued Dec. 17, out of Carson City Justice Court. His bail was $500.

— A 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested Dec. 20, 10:15 a.m. in the 1300 block of Ashby Court on a misdemeanor warrant violation of a suspended sentence, issued April 15, 2013. Bail: $3,000.

— A 33-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Dec. 20, 2:30 p.m. on a warrant violation of conditions. Bail: $1,000.

Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
