A Carson City man was injured this morning in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 395. The Nevada Highway Patrol released the following information about the accident:
On April 6, 2012, at approximately 5:49 am, Troopers from the Nevada Highway Patrol were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover on US 395 approximately four miles north of Minden.
The preliminary crash investigation details indicate that a dark green Acura Nevada License Plate 024XAC, driven by Peter Jon Gill a 35-year-old Carson City resident was traveling southbound on US 395 approximately four miles north of Minden. For unknown reasons the car veered to the right causing the Acura to leave the roadway and go threw the right of way fence striking a drainage ditch on the west side of the highway. Mr. Gill was extricated from the Acura by emergency personnel, and transported to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno via Care Flight helicopter with substantial injuries. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the early morning accident
