A 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 12:29 a.m. in the 400 block of West Winnie on a misdemeanor charge, possession of drug paraphernalia, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, officers were called to a residence after a female called dispatch because she ate mushrooms and was overdosing, the arrest report states. Officers made contact with the woman who stated she needed medical help.
The 19-year-old man who was subsequently arrested, appeared to be under the influence of something, the arrest report states. Both gave deputies permission to enter the apartment. Inside the apartment a deputy noticed, in plain view on a coffee table, a small grinder with marijuana residue, and a marijuana pipe on the couch, the arrest report states.
The man told officers the glass pipe belonged to him and he said he had used it to smoke marijuana prior to officers arriving. He told officers that he also consumed mushrooms and that he was OK, the arrest report states. He was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $1,137.
In other arrests:
— A 20-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday, 1 a.m. at 1600 Medical Parkway on a misdemeanor charge, minor consuming alcohol. She told officers she was a transient and had no one available to pick her up after she had been released from the hospital. An unidentified male was with her but left the hospital when police arrived. Bail: $242.
— A 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 4:22 p.m. in the 3200 block of North Carson Street on misdemeanor suspicion of possession of a chemical used for inhaling and probation violation.
According to the arrest report, officers were called to the location in reference to a man inhaling chemicals and hitting his head against the wall. Upon arrival officers met with the man who stated he had not been inhaling any chemicals. Officers asked him again and he admitted to inhaling a chemical behind a dumpster cage, the arrest report states. The man showed the officer the can from which he had been inhaling from, the arrest report states. Dispatch advised the Department of Alternative Sentencing wanted the man arrested for violating conditions of his probation. Bail: $4,137.
— A 54-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 1:22 p.m. at the intersection of Roop and Anderson streets on a misdemeanor charge, driving without a valid driver’s license. According to the arrest report, the deputy who had made the arrest had cited the man the day prior, April 5, for operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license. Bail: $192.
— A 44-year-old Carson City woman was booked into jail Monday, 7 p.m. on a misdemeanor warrant, probation violation, issued April 18, 2014 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.
— A 37-year-old Minden man was booked into Carson City jail Monday, 10:50 p.m. on a misdemeanor failure to appear traffic warrant issued Jan. 27, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $215.
Those arrested and facing criminal charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
