A 28-year-old Carson City man and known absconder was arrested Wednesday on multiple felony warrant charges after a tip from parole and probation officers led to a residence where he was staying, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Ryan Eric Redwine was arrested at a home in the 3700 block of Northgate Lane. He faces warrant charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property and two counts probation violation, all felonies. He’s being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
In other arrests: A 46-year-old Carson City woman, Sandi Lynn Aldrich, was booked Wednesday, 10:11 p.m. in the 800 block of East William Street on a felony charge of parole and probation violation, and a gross misdemeanor warrant, unlawfully taking a motor vehicle. She’s being held without bail pending a hearing.
— A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 10:13 p.m. in the area of Park and Roop streets on misdemeanor charges of driving on a suspended license and for not having a license plate light. Bail: $709.
— A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 12:03 a.m. in the 200 block of West Caroline Street on a misdemeanor charge, disorderly conduct.
According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to a motel in reference to an unwanted subject. The reporting witness advised the suspect had forced his way into her room and was yelling at her. Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with the woman and the suspect. The woman advised there was no physical contact and that she wanted the man to leave her alone.
Deputies met with the man who had a strong odor of alcohol on him. He became loud with officers and would not listen when asked to return to his room. For approximately 15 minutes deputies attempted to have the man calm down. The man advised he was going to speak with a sergeant and said he was going to dial 911. A deputy told the man not to dial 911 and was given the non-emergency number for dispatch. The man walked outside and used profanity and was causing a disturbance to other residents in the motel, the arrest report states.
A resident walked up to an officer and asked why they were not going to do anything about the man. The resident told the officer that he had been walking around drunk, cursing and causing a disturbance and it had been the second time police were called on the man. The resident said she wanted to pursue a citizen arrest complaint and press charges.
The suspect was advised to put his cigarette out and was placed under arrested. He refused to follow directions and was forced into restraints, the arrest report states. At jail he blew a .18 breath test. Bail: $352.
— A 41-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 10:28 p.m. in the 4800 block of Heron Road on misdemeanor charges of speeding, reckless driving, driving on a suspended driver’s license and failure to appear on a traffic warrant.
According to the arrest report an officer observed on radar a blue PT Cruiser going 54 mph in a 25 mph zone. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle which proceeded eastbound on Fifth Street and then turned south on Roundup Road at a high rate of speed. The officer was unable to overtake the vehicle because of increasing speed and lost sight of the vehicle for a short time, then located the vehicle in a driveway unoccupied.
The driver was located hiding under a bench. The man told the officer he was driving fast because his wife was angry at him and he did not want to get pulled over.
Dispatch checked for warrants and stated the man had a failure to appear traffic warrant issued for his arrest out of Carson City Justice Court and that his license was suspended.
The officer arrested the man for the warrant, basic speeding of 21 mph or over, reckless driving and driving on a suspended licenses. Bail: $2,336.
— A 47-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday, 3:48 p.m. in the 200 block of Jeanell on a misdemeanor charge of violation of probation conditions.
According to the arrest report officers were called to the address for a report of unwanted subject. The officer arrived and found the woman who was on pre-trial supervision with Alternative Sentencing for trespassing. She had a condition not to consume alcohol as part of her probation. She submitted to a breath test with a result of .044, the arrest report states. Bail: $3,000.
