A Fresno man faces multiple charges including having a felony warrant for his arrest, after he was pulled over early Saturday morning for allegedly driving without headlights.
Darryl Parker, 43, faces DUI, marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle warrant out of Lyon County, according to the arrest report.
Deputies stopped Parker after noticing he was driving without headlamps. During the stop the arresting deputy noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the car, and, on the right shorts pocket of the man was marijuana. The deputy asked the man to give him the rest of the marijuana, and the man gave the deputy a green container that was concealed in his crotch, according to the arrest report.
During a warrant check, the arresting deputy learned that the man was driving on an expired license and that he had a felony warrant through the Lyon County Sheriff's Office in reference to a stolen vehicle, according the report.
The deputy smelled alcohol coming from Parker, who told the officer that he had drank alcohol and smoked marijuana "a couple hours ago." The man submitted to four field sobriety tests, showed impairment on three of the four tests, and was taken into custody, according to the arrest report.
During the vehicle inventory, a purple metal pipe with marijuana in it was located in the middle console. The man was taken to jail and booked without incident, according to the arrest report.
