A 44-year-old Dayton man turned himself into Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputies Sunday on multiple warrants, including felony burglary, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
David Anthony Salazar was booked into jail at 6:26 p.m. on the following warrants: Felony burglary out of Dayton Township Court; gross misdemeanor attempted escape by a prisoner, a gross misdemeanor, misdemeanor battery, two failure to appear warrants, domestic battery and violation of a suspended sentence. Each of these were issued out of Dayton Township Court. He also had a misdemeanor warrant out of Carson City Justice Court for violation of a suspended sentence. Bail: $48,115.

According to the arrest report, the man was stopped after an officer observed him driving approximately 40 mph in a posted 25 mph zone. The officer asked the man for vehicle registration and insurance documents.
The man said he didn’t have them and handed the officer a California driver’s license. The driver’s license had been suspended since September 2015. Bail: $1,578.
— A 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 9:28 p.m., in the 1600 block of Medical Parkway on misdemeanor charges of probation violation and resisting arrest.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the local hospital for an intoxicated subject. An officer met with security who said the man had been in the emergency room waiting area and had been trying to get back to ER to see a patient that did not want him back there.
Dispatch advised the man is on alternative sentencing with a “no alcohol” clause. The man provided a breath sample of .079. The department of alternative sentencing advised to have the man arrested for probation violation.
When the officer asked him to put his hands behind his back, the man took off running toward the emergency room, the arrest report states. He was quickly detained by hospital security and the officer. Bail: $3,352.
— A 29-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday, 9:41 p.m. on misdemeanor warrants issued out of Carson City Justice Court and Lyon County. The Carson City warrant was for contempt of court and the Lyon County warrant was for possession of marijuana. Bail: $3,140.
— A 33-year-old Carson City woman was arrested sunday, 5:43 p.m. in the 3200 block of Market Street on misdemeanor charges of petit larceny, violation of a suspended sentence and a warrant for failure to appear. The woman had attempted to steal $71.84 in merchandise from Walmart. Bail: $3,852.
— A 26-year-old Carson City woman was arrested noon Sunday on misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, talking on a cell phone while driving and open container.
According to the arrest report, a deputy made a traffic stop after observing the woman using her cell phone while driving. The deputy made contact with the driver and smelled a very strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle, the arrest report states. The driver identified herself and said she had marijuana in the vehicle and reached into her purse and handed the officer a clear glass jar.
She was charged with possession of marijuana, and paraphernalia after pipes were discovered as well as having an open container of Steel Reserve malt beverage in the door panel. Bail: $2,578.
— Two men were arrested Sunday on multiple charges after an altercation with an officer who had been looking for a stolen vehicle. The 24-year-old faces a gross misdemeanor charge of assault on a police officer, misdemeanor obstructing with violence and being and being an intoxicated pedestrian. Bail: $3,704. The 20-year-old faces misdemeanor charges of minor consuming and being an intoxicated pedestrian. Bail: $304.
— A 27-year-old Gardnerville man was arrested Sunday, 5:48 a.m. in the area of Stewart and John streets on misdemeanor charges of DUI, failure to maintain a single lane and driving on a suspended license.
According to the arrest report, the vehicle the man was driving drove up onto a curb causing damage to his vehicle. Officers observed the man was intoxicated. Bail: $1,886.
— A 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 5:29 a.m. in the area of Northridge and Lompa Lane on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI and minor consuming alcohol. Bail: $1,379.
