The security employee said he observed the two in the apparel section of the store gathering large amounts of clothing and placing them in a laundry basket in a shopping cart. The two proceeded through the exit past all methods of payment and left the store where security approached them.

Both cooperated and admitted that nothing in the cart had been paid for. The value of the merchandise was $600, the arrest report states. The deputy read the pair their Miranda rights and both agreed to speak. They admitted to going into the store to intentionally steal.
