An unemployed Carson City man wanted on felony sexual assault and kidnapping charges was arrested at a motel room in the 200 block of West Caroline on Tuesday morning.
Brandon Hicks, 18, is being held on $200,000 bail. A warrant for his arrest was issued on March 25 in Carson City Justice Court on the alleged felony crimes of first degree kidnapping, battery with intent to commit sexual assault committed by strangulation and sexual assault.
Hicks had been jailed in December on two counts of felony intimidating on police officers. Hicks had also been involved in the case of John Linville, 18, who was sentenced to prison earlier this month following a Dec. 26 knife attack on his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend and then shooting her father in the chest. Hicks allegedly drove Linville to the victims home the night of the attack and then reportedly took off as the father began to chase Linville following the attacks.
