A Carson City man faces a gross misdemeanor charge of false imprisonment and a misdemeanor domestic battery charge after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and threatening her family. According to the arrest report the mother of the woman who was beaten called authorities saying that her daughter had been assaulted.
The victim was interviewed by officers on Oct. 8 and was apprehensive to speak. According to the arrest report, officers asked her to talk about what happened. The woman said she was with 23-year-old fitness trainer at a friends at a house. She said her boyfriend became upset with her when she laid down on a bed at the house and called her several vulgar names.
She said she and he got into an argument and he got into her into her face and she became frightened and pushed him away. She told authorities she attempted to leave and the man grabbed her by the arm, twisted it behind her back and she collapsed to the ground, the arrest report stated.
Injuries observed on the woman were: A cut on the bottom lip; redness and swelling on her right forearm; bruising on her right forearm; minor redness on her chest, swelling on her back and left side hip and a small cut to her right ring finger knuckle, the arrest report stated.
The man was arrested in the 800 block of Fairview. He was asked about a scratch near his left eye which he stated was caused by his girlfriend, the arrest report stated.
A Carson City handy man was arrested and faces domestic battery charges after allegedly throwing a mattress and box springs at his girlfriend and punching her in the head.
The arrest was made in the 500 block of North Stewart Street at a motel on Oct. 8. The victim told authorities her boyfriend threw the bed at her, held her down and punched her with a closed fit. The woman had an abrasion to her eye and nose. The man told authorities he was defending himself from her, that she threw the bed and box springs and that he did not batter the woman.
A woman was arrested on a felony charge of failing to appear in drug court and misdemeanor charges of drug paraphernalia possession and a traffic violation after she was stopped by police.
Taylor Nicole Chandler, was arrested on October 8. She was stopped after an officer observed she did not use a turn signal while turning eastbound on Robinson Street. she was stopped at the intersection of Lompa Lane and Highway 50. A search of the woman's purse found a glass pipe used for smoking methamphetamine.
A Carson City woman faces gross misdemeanor charges of battery on a police and a parole officer after being arrested on Oct. 8. The 61-year-old woman was found intoxicated in the area of Carson and Third streets. Officers attempted to arrest her. As she was cuffed and searched she kicked the arresting officer and scratched another officer which caused an open wound to his left hand, according to the arrest report. The woman remained uncooperative at the time of the arrest, was taken to jail and put in a block holding cell.
A Carson City man faces a misdemeanor battery charge after reportedly being intoxicated and fighting near a child care facility in the 2200 block of Lone Mountain Drive.
When officers arrived at 2:36 p.m. Oct. 10 they found two men fighting in the street. Officers separated the men and found one was an employee of the day care center and the other being the intoxicated man. The employee said he got a call from the care givers that a male was wandering outside and appeared intoxicated. The employee told the man to leave the property after he stepped on the property. The man attempted to tackle the day care employee, hitting him in the face. The employee fought back and knocked the man to the ground.
According to the police report, the intoxicated man told authorities that he was called
"gay" as he walked by the day care center and that the man who confronted him looked like he wanted to fight. "So I fought him," the intoxicated man told deputies.
Officers spoke with the mother of the intoxicated man who told them her son may have substance abuse and psychological problems.
A Carson City man faces misdemeanor charges including assault on a peace officer, public consumption of alcohol and obstructing and resisting arrest. The 44-year-old welder was found drinking from an 18 pack of Coors Light outside of a grocery story in the 500 block of East Williams. The man told authorities he was trying to get to Mound House and needed a cab. Officers called a cab company but they refused the man saying they had prior violent conflicts with him.
Officers told the man that he was breaking the law being intoxicated and drinking from an open container. The man then stood up and stated""OK, let's do this" clenching his fist and standing in a bladed stance, according to the arrest report. The arresting officer told the man to sit down and the man replied: "You want to go so lets go." Another command was given for the man to sit down, He didn't comply. The officer used a taser on him striking him in the right arm and chest, according to the arrest report. The man went to the ground and was subdued. He was booked into jail and blew of BAC of .173.
