A Carson City man on probation and with a n outstanding warrant for his arrest faces felony drug charges, including intent to sell after authorities found 3 grams of MDMA, also known as "Ecstasy" or "Molly" and several empty pills capsules during a search of his apartment.
Mark Emory Samuels, 27, was arrested Friday, Nov. 1, 8:18 p.m. in the 400 block of East Long Street.
According to the arrest report, officers with the Special Enforcement Team made contact with the man at his residence on a confirmed warrant from Carson City Justice Court for violation of a suspended sentence.
The man was also on Alternative Sentencing with a search and seizure clause for drugs and alcohol. Officers entered the apartment where the man lives alone and observed numerous bottles of alcohol in plain view in the apartment and in the refrigerator, the arrest report states.
In the man's bedroom on a small table and in a small pill bottle was marijuana and a small marijuana bong on the table. There was a blue glass marijuana pipe on the couch in the living room and a large marijuana bong in the closet.
Officers also found a digital scale and pipe in a small wooden box on a table along with a glass Mason jar with the man's name on it with a small amount of marijuana.
A narcotic K9 alerted officers of a green cooler on the man's bed with a small amount of marijuana residue, two small pill containers with approximately 3 grams of marijuana; a Ziplock baggie that contained a yellowish crushed crystal substance resembling MDMA, also known as "Ecstasy" or "Molly," an amphetamine-based substance.
There was a plastic baggie containing numerous empty plastic pill capsules. The arresting officer noted in the report that it is common for sellers of Molly or MDMA to package the drug in the pill capsules for sale.
Samuels was arrested for the warrant, marijuana, approximately 5 grams in all, and drug paraphernalia. He was taken to jail. During the booking process, tests on the drugs found came back positive for MDMA, approximately 3 grams. Based on the MDMA being with numerous pill capsules, he was also charged for possession of a controlled substance for sale. Bail: $12,364.

A 38-year-old Reno woman was arrested Nov. 3, 6:19 p.m. in the area of Fairmont way and Champion Street. Athena Marie Welch, faces a felony charge of third time DUI.
According to the arrest report officers responded to the area for a report of DUI driver in a white Hyundai.
Officers located the woman where they found her passed out in the driver's seat of the vehicle. The keys were in the ignition in the "on" position. There were plastic grocery bags in the passenger's seat with an empty bottle of vodka and three empty bottles of peach schnapps in it, the arrest report states.
The woman was unresponsive and unable to answer questions. She smelled strongly of alcohol and had thick, slurred speech, the arrest report states.
Paramedics arrived on the scene and took the woman to the emergency room due to her level of intoxication.
A computer check showed the woman had two prior DUIs in the past seven years. She was arrested for DUI third offense and once medically cleared from the hospital she was taken to jail for booking. Bail: $20,000.
— A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested Nov. 2, 4:40 p.m. in the areas of Curry and Caroline streets. Nicholas Constantino III faces a felony probation violation charge, misdemeanor domestic battery warrant and misdemeanor failure to appear traffic charges, also a warrant.
He has a no bail hold for the probation violation, a $3,000 warrant for the domestic battery warrant, and $745 for the failure to appear traffic warrant.
