A 19-year-old Stateline woman driving a Jeep Cherokee crossed the center line early Wednesday and crashed into a vehicle driven by a Carson City man, the Nevada Highway Patrol reports.
The accident was reported at 8:49 a.m. near Juniper Lane about a third of a mile from Highway 50 on Kingsbury Grade. The woman was flown by Care Flight to Renown Medical Center in Reno, said NHP Trooper Dan Lopez.
The crash investigation details so far indicate that the black Jeep Cherokee was traveling eastbound on Kingsbury Grade when, for reasons unknown, she crossed over the centerline striking a blue Bus driven by the 53 year-old Carson City man in the left front with the left front of the black Jeep.
The Carson City man sustained minor injuries and treated at the scene, Lopez said.
Kingsbury Grade was closed temporarily until the accident scene was investigated. Alcohol is not suspected as a contributing factor to the accident.
