According to the arrest report, officers responded to the location after a vehicle had been hit by the car and left the scene.

The suspect’s car was found and it was determined it had struck another vehicle due to fresh paint and missing debris from the car. Officers spoke with the suspect, who said she had her 1-year-old son in the vehicle. She said she had consumed alcohol only after she arrived at the location.

Neither the victim of the hit and run, or the two at the residence could place the woman behind at the wheel while intoxicated. She blew a .434 on a preliminary breath test. She was taken to the hospital and then to jail after medical clearance. Bail: $3,774.

— A 51-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday, 10:23 a.m., in the area of Roop and Basque streets on suspicion of DUI and failure to maintain a lane of travel, both misdemeanors.

— According to the arrest report an officer observed a vehicle driving on Roop Street north of Winnie hit the right solid lane twice within a few hundred yards. Suspecting a possible DUI driver, a traffic stop was made at Roop and Basque.

The officer made contact with the driver, who had red watery eyes and a moderate odor of alcohol. When the woman reached over for her vehicle information near the glove box the officer saw what appeared to be a pint of alcohol sticking out of her left jacket pocket. The officer asked the woman if she had been drinking and the woman replied she had not, the arrest report states.

The officer asked the woman if she would submit to a series of standardized field sobriety tests. The woman agreed to two noting she had arthritis. The tests were done in a covered walkway area because of the weather conditions. She stated that she would submit to the eye test and the preliminary breath test. She told the officer she had consumed approximately a pint of vodka prior to driving the vehicle. On the eye test she indicated six out of 8 clues for impairment, and on the preliminary breath test, it displayed a .123.

She was arrested on suspicion of DUI and failure to maintain a lane. She was taken to jail, read the Nevada Implied Consent where she elected a blood draw. Bail: $1,249.
