Carson City man jailed on felony warrant after skipping sentencing hearing

A 20-year-old Carson City man was booked into Carson City Jail on Wednesday with two outstanding warrants, including a felony in which he had failed to appear for his sentencing hearing on a charge of attempted burglary.
Jordon Michael Galloway was booked at 4:56 p.m. Sept. 11 on the felony charge and a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant. Bail: $23,000.

In other arrests:

— A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Thursday morning in the 1500 block of Lompa Lane and faces a felony charge of parole and probation violation. Brian Eduardo Ramirez, was arrested at 1:43 a.m. and is on a no-bail hold.

According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to a Lompa Lane address for a noise complaint. The reporting party advised that there was loud music coming from an apartment.

Officers arrived and noticed the lights were off and there wasn't any noise coming from the apartment in question. As the deputy was preparing to leave, Ramirez and a female approached and advised they were coming from the area of another apartment.

Officers asked Ramirez if had had consumed any alcohol and he replied he had not. The man presented the deputy with an ID card which was run through dispatch where it was learned he was under the supervision of State Parole and Probation and had a no drinking clause. He was asked to submit to a breath test in which he blew a .120. Parole and Probation asked that he be taken into custody.

— A 50-year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Thursday morning in the 1800 block of East Long Street and faces a charge of being in violation of a suspended sentence.
The woman was observed walking on Long Street at 4:28 a.m. She informed the officer she was on alternative sentencing with a no drinking clause. She agreed to submit to a preliminary breath test where she blew a .160, according to the arrest report. Bail: $1,000.

— A Carson City man was arrested at 5:13 p.m. in the 800 block of North Carson Street and faces misdemeanor charges of DUI first offense and driving on a suspended driver's license.

According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to locate a possible drunk driver who had pulled into a motel. Deputies made contact with three people including the suspected drunk driver.

He was asked if he had consumed any alcohol in which he admitted to drinking a 32-ounce beer 30 minutes prior. He was asked if he was willing to take a standardized field sobriety tests in which he agreed and could not perform the tests as demonstrated. A breath test was taken in which the man blew a .151, the arrest report states. At jail he blew breath samples of .160 and .146. Bail: $1,764

— A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, in the 1500 block of East Long Street. He faces a misdemeanor charge of being in violation of his probation. Bail: $3,000.

— A Carson City man was arrested at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11 in the 1500 block of North Carson Street and faces a misdemeanor charge of being a pedestrian under the influence.

According to the arrest report, officers were called to the area regarding the safety of the man after dispatch had received two calls about the his welfare. Upon arrival, officers observed the man matching the description walking from the southbound side of the roadway on North Carson Street to the side of the road and not using a crosswalk.

Officers made contact with the man, who was extremely intoxicated, had urinated his shorts and had several scrapes on his face and knees, the arrest report states. He submitted to a preliminary breath test in which he blew a .358. He was taken to Carson Tahoe Hospital to be medically cleared and then taken to jail with the charge of being an intoxicated pedestrian. Bail: $72.

Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
