A Carson City man faces burglary and threat charges after he allegedly broke into an apartment, took cigarettes, and threatened to kill the occupant.
Clinton Mathew Carlin, 39, was arrested at 3:29 on Saturday morning. Bail was set at $3,132.
According to the arrest report, deputies responded to the 900 block of East Fifth after dispatch was told there was a man attempting to gain entrance into a home through a window.
The arresting deputy detained and cuffed the man. Because the suspect smelled of alcohol, he was administered a breath test for which he blew a 0.186, according to the arrest report.
The reporting person said Carlin entered the apartment through a window door after he was told to leave at the front door. Once inside apartment, Carlin grabbed cigarettes and told the person inside that if he went to jail he would kill them. And then he left the apartment from the front door, according to the arrest report.
