Carson City Sheriff's Office patrol officers made several misdemeanor DUI-related arrests through the holiday weekend and into the first part of this week. The most recent arrest was early Tuesday morning.
A 47-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 2200 block of East William Street and faces a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence. According to the arrest report, officers called to a casino at around 1 a.m. after a witness reported an intoxicated man was seen getting inside a truck and preparing to drive.
Officers arrived and observed an unoccupied truck in front of the building with the engine running. Officers entered the casino and made contact with the owner of the truck who was sitting at a table.
The man was asked if he had been drinking and the man replied he had been drinking beer. He was asked if he owned the truck that was running in the parking lot. The man advised he owned the truck but didn't know it was running, the arrest report states.
Officers asked if he drove the truck to the casino and the man replied that he did not and that his brother-in-law had driven him, the arrest report states.
A witness advised that the man was seen coming into the casino and could barely walk. The witness indicated the man attempted to purchase cigarettes but didn't have enough money. The witness stated he asked the man if he was driving and the man told him no, the report states. The witness advised the man left the casino and went back to the truck where he jumped into the driver's seat and closed the door. He stated at no time did he observe another person with the man, the arrest report states.
The man was asked to perform a series of field sobriety test. As he was escorted to to parking lot for the tests, officers noticed the man had urinated his pants. The man said he had a bladder problem but then failed to mention it during the questioner portion of the sobriety test. Showing signs of impairment on all tests, the man submitted to a preliminary breath test that resulted with a .180, the arrest report states. While in detention the man blew a .207 and .221, the report states.
The man showed prior arrests for DUI in February 2013 and January 2008 but neither showed disposition. The man was booked on DUI first offense in seven years. Bail: $1,137.

— A Carson City man was booked on an outstanding felony warrant on Monday, April 1, 4:32 p.m. Tracey Lee Lock, 38, was wanted for the warrant issued Feb. 15, 2013 for failure to submit to a drug test, the arrest report states.
— A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested April 1, 3:12 p.m. and faces a charge of failure to appear in traffic court. Bail $172.
— A 28-year-old Reno man was arrested March 29, 5:03 p.m. at North Carson Street and College Parkway. He faces misdemeanor charges of DUI and driving on an expired license.
According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to a non-injury accident in the 3700 block of North Carson Street. Dispatch advised a Ford Ranger had lost its wheel and was in the middle of the northbound lane.
Upon arrival officers noticed the Ranger in the northbound lane but it was facing south. The Ranger was blocking both the number 1 and number 2 travel lanes. The Ranger's passenger side rear wheel was missing. The driver, who identified himself, was standing next to the Ranger. Officers asked the man what happened and the man said he was turning onto North Carson Street from eastbound College Parkway when his wheel fell off.
As the man spoke officers observed he slurred his words and had red bloodshot eyes. Officers asked the man if he had been drinking and the man said he had one tall beer at a local bar, the report states.
The officer asked the man if he was drunk and he told the officer he thought he was, the arrest report states. The man agreed to submit to field sobriety tests but could not complete them as they were explained and demonstrated. He submitted a preliminary breath test which showed a .135, the report states.
The man was arrested and faces a DUI charge and driving on an expired license. Bail: $1,259.
— A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested March 31, 12:15 a.m. and faces misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence, no proof of insurance and failure to maintain lanes. The man was arrest at East 5th and South Roop Street.
According to the arrest report, officer made a traffic stop after observing the man's Jeep Cherokee cross over the fog line three times between Saliman and Roop. The man provided the officer his license but failed to provide proof of insurance. When the officer asked if he had been drinking, the man said he had two beers. The man was asked to perform a series of field sobriety tests and a preliminary breath test. All indicated intoxication. Bail: $1,951.
— A 43-year-old Carson City man who was in jail faces additional charges after authorities discovered he had been in telephone contact with a woman who was the victim of domestic violence. Calls were made March 4, March 6, and March 8 in violation of terms of conditions. Bail: $3,000.
— A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested March 31, 1:44 a.m. in the 300 block of North Carson street and faces a misdemeanor charge of being in violation of probation. The man, on probation through Alternative Sentencing, was reported to be drunk and challenging bar security to a fight. He submitted to a preliminary breath test and blew a .181. Bail; $3,000.
— A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested March 31, 2:20 a.m. in the 900 block of Beverly Drive. He faces misdemeanor charges of DUI (second), no valid driver's license and failure to maintain a lane of travel.
According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to the area for a non-injury traffic accident. Officers observed that a wheel on a passenger vehicle was flat. The driver told officers he was driving too fast south on Roop, lost control and crashed the vehicle into the curb. The man identified himself and told officers he did not have a valid driver's license, the arrest report states. A witness reported that the man was the only driver in the vehicle.
Officers noted the driver had red eyes, slurred speech and smelled of alcohol. He told officers he had three shots prior to driving. He submitted to field sobriety tests in which he did not perform as demonstrated and a preliminary breath test was taken indicating he was well over the legal limit of .08. The man was arrested for suspicion of DUI. A records check showed he had a DUI conviction dated June 14, 2012 out of Arizona. Bail: $2,779.
— A 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested March 30, 8:17 p.m. in the 1600 block of Airport Road and faces a misdemeanor charge of DUI and driving with a broken tail lamp.
According to the arrest report a traffic stop was conducted because of a broken passenger side tail light. The red cover was broken and the light was emitting white light, the report states. In making contact officers noted the man had red eyes and smelled of alcohol.The man performed the eye gaze test in which he failed and then refused to perform any other tests, according to the report. He was arrested and taken to jail where breath tests resulted in a .190 and .188. Bail: $1,209.
— A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested March 30, 2:26 a.m. at the intersection of William and Stewart. He faces charges of DUI and driving on a suspended registration.
The arrest report states a traffic stop was made after an officer observed the vehicle directly in front of him had a suspended registration. Officers made contact with the man who smelled slightly of alcohol. The man told officers he had two drinks and stated that he would perform field sobriety tests.
The tests were performed unsatisfactorily and a preliminary breath test indicated a .109. The man then selected a blood draw as his form of testing while in custody. Bail: $1,200.
— A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested March 29, 11:28 p.m. in the 100 block of East Long Street. He faces a misdemeanor charge of being in violation of a suspended sentence. The arrest report states officers responded to the address after a noise complaint. Officers spoke with the man at the address who is on Alternative Sentencing with a no-alcohol clause. A preliminary breath test of the man showed that he was intoxicated. Bail: $1,000.
— A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested March 31, around 3:15 p.m. near Lompa and Sherman streets. The man faces misdemeanor charges of failure to appear, driving on a suspended license and driving on a suspended registration. Officers observed the vehicle had a cracked windshield. They ran the plates and the registration came back suspended, the arrest report states.
Dispatched advised the man had a confirmed warrant for his arrest out of Carson City Justice Court for failure to appear for a traffic hearing, Dec. 27, 2012. Bail: $916.
— Those arrested and facing charges are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
