A 74-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Thursday, 12:35 p.m. at Arrowhead and Bowers. The man allegedly hit a number of mailboxes with his vehicle.
Officers spoke with the man who said he had lost control of this vehicle, causing him to hit the mail boxes. The vehicle's right front tire was flat and the truck had visible body damage. Officers could smell a moderate odor of alcohol and noticed the man's eyes were red and watery, the arrest report states.
He was asked how much alcohol he had been drinking. The man initially stated he had one beer, then stated he had two, according to the arrest report.
He stated that he would participate in field sobriety tests. He was only able to participate in two of the tests because he was missing his left leg, the arrest report states. On the tests he could take, the man showed signs of impairment. He was read the Nevada Implied Consent where the man stated he wished to participate in a blood draw. A phlebotomist took two samples of blood. Results were not available. Bail: $1,137.

A 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 11:22 p.m., in the 1400 block of East William Street. He faces misdemeanor charges of obstructing officers and being a minor consuming alcohol.
According to the arrest report, officers were called to the location where a man was seen yelling and jumping up and down and waving his hands in a parking lot. Officers arrived and saw the man sitting on the curb, dressed in all black. He stated he was not involved, refused to provide identification, asked the deputy for his name and badge number and said he was going to record the conversation.
The officer stated it was fine for him to record the conversation, but he still needed the man's identification. The officer asked four times for the man's ID, each time refusing and saying "What's your name and badge number," the arrest report states.
The man was detained, placed into handcuffs and patted down for weapons. A Nevada identification card was located on him.
When removed from the patrol car, the officer noticed a slight odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. The man admitted to the officer of drinking three beers that evening. He provided a preliminary breath test which resulted in a .054. He was arrested for minor consuming alcohol and obstructing.
While in transport, the man apologized for his behavior, saying he was having a bad day and said that he understood that this could have been avoided had he provided his identification. Bail: $654.
— A 25-year-old Reno man was booked Thursday, 5:05 p.m. into Carson City Jail on two misdemeanor warrants for violation of a suspended sentence, failure to report. The warrants were issued out of Carson City Justice Court on July 17 and July 23, 2013. Bail: $6,000.
— A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 4:43 p.m. in 3200 block of Highway 50 East. He faces misdemeanor charges of being an ex-felon failing to register and failure to maintain a lane of traffic.
According to the arrest report, the man was stopped after deputies observed the Chevrolet sedan the man was driving had crossed over the center line and fog line three times while traveling eastbound on Highway 50 from Lompa Lane to Airport Road.
The man has two separate felony convictions for robbery and possession of stolen property. and is a validated gang member. Last month, deputies with the Tri-County Gang Unit went to a home in the 2400 block of Fairmont looking for the man. A family member said she had not seen him in weeks since he had come home from prison. Another person confirmed the man was not living at the address that he said he was supposed to be living.
He was arrested and faces misdemeanor charges of being an ex-felon failing to register and failure to maintain a traffic lane. Bail: $329.
Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
