A 50-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Thursday in the area of Brown and Gordon streets on a felony charge of possessing prescription drugs without prescriptions, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Lillian Kay Meyer, also faces misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of bail conditions.
According to the arrest report, officers with the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Team stopped a vehicle at 6:25 p.m. after observing the driver cross over a stop line and failed to stop before entering the intersection. Officers made contact with a male driver and Meyer who was the passenger.
The officer knew both occupants as having been arrested on prior contacts for drugs. A K9 was requested where the dog did an exterior sniff of the vehicle and, subsequently, alerted to drugs. Meyer is currently on Alternative sentencing with clauses for no drugs or alcohol.
During a search of the vehicle officers found a glass meth pipe with residue. Also found was a piece of luggage with a plastic container containing 24 pills of different types. The pills were 4 tramadol, 12 prochlonperazine, 1 Naproxen, 1 singular, 1 molelukast, 1 sumatriptan, and 4 Methylphenidate, which is a schedule 2 controlled substance. The officer was unable to locate any valid prescriptions.
The woman was informed she was being arrested whereby she told officers she had chest pains, according to the arrest report. She was taken to the hospital where she refused to allow the doctor to take tests. She was released and taken to jail. During intake officers found another bottle of pills in her purse with one pill not being the one in which it said on the bottle. Bail: $6,500.

— A 53-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 12:08 a.m. in the 2000 block of East William Street on misdemeanor charges of DUI and driving on the sidewalk.
According to the arrest report, officers responded to a restaurant and bar in reference to a man causing a disturbance.
The man left the bar and was found stopped on the south side of the area near Mills Park. The man admitted to drinking but said he didn’t know where he was drinking at, the arrest report states. He failed all standardized field sobriety tests and blew a .21 preliminary breath test. Bail: $1,209.
— A 43-year-old Carson City naan was arrested Thursday, 10:47 p.m. in the area of Carson and Adams streets on misdemeanor charges of being an intoxicated pedestrian with an open container in public. During a pat down, officers found two steak knives on the man. He was asked about the unsheathed knives. The man told the officer he carries the knives to “get down.” Bail: $429.
— A 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 10:59 p.m. in the area of Sixth Street and Plaza on misdemeanor charges of DUI, speeding and failure to maintain a lane of traffic. The driver was stopped after officers estimated he was speeding about 50 mph in a 25 mph zone in the area of Bath and Carson streets and 45 mph in a 25 mph zone near Carson and Musser streets, the arrest report states.
During the traffic stop the man said he had four beers at a local bar. He agreed to submit to field sobriety tests in which he existed the vehicle and nearly fell over, the arrest report states. He blew a .181 preliminary breath test and was arrested. Bail: $1,336.
— A 24-year-old Dayton man was arrested Thursday, 6:49 p.m. in the 900 block of Woodside Drive on misdemeanor warrant charge, violation of a suspended sentence issued June 16, 2014 out of Carson City Justice Court and for having obstruction on his windshield. Bail: $1,072.
— A 47-year-old Gardnerville woman was booked into Carson City Jail Thursday, 1 p.m. on misdemeanor warrant charges of battery and trespassing. Bail $1,500.
Those arrested and facing criminal charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
