Skies are clearing and storm watches have been lifted. It should be a great night for July 4 fireworks at Mills Park in Carson City.

RSVP is host of the 4th of July Celebration and Carnival in Mills Park, now in its 23rd year. Carson City Toyota-Scion has partnered with RSVP and Cumulus Media to provide a live radio remote on Magic 95.5 FM which is live and on-air now, that will lead up to a broadcast of patriotic music and simulcast to the fireworks display at dusk.

Pack up food and refreshments for a picnic, an umbrella or two just in case and head to Mills Park, or any high point in Carson City, and tune into Magic 95.5FM for a synchronized soundtrack of music and eye-popping sky candy for the whole family. See the video blow.

The RSVP Carnival at Mills Park continues tonight through midnight and starts back up again Sunday morning.

Take plenty of photos while you’re at it and submit them to Carson Now for a chance to win tickets to the The Concert Under the Stars featuring Ambrosia and Pablo Cruise on Wednesday, July 8. The concert is sold out, but you can win tickets right here.

Just submit photos and/or videos of the fireworks and other July 4th activities Saturday at this link. The top three submissions that receive the most Facebook likes by Monday at 5 p.m. will each receive two free tickets to the concert.

Note: Video submissions have to be uploaded to YouTube to qualify. Just send us the YouTube link.

Go here for more information about the concert. Have a happy July 4th.

There will be fireworks shows in Virginia City with the Fireworks Spectacular at Miner’s Park: Located at Carson and F Streets, bring blankets and picnics to cap off the day’s activities. All drinks, including alcohol, must be in plastic cups.
