An 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 11:55 p.m. at Roop Street and Northridge. He faces four misdemeanor charges including first offense DUI, driving on a suspended registration, no proof of insurance and minor consuming alcohol.
According to the arrest report, a Carson City Sheriff's Office deputy conducted a routine registration check on a vehicle that came back as suspended. The deputy initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle as it was traveling eastbound on Northridge near Roop.
The deputy made contact with the driver and asked for his license, insurance and registration. The 18-year-old stated he knows about the registration and stated he has no insurance. He also stated that he didn't have his driver's license with him.
While talking with the driver, the officer could smell an odor of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle. The driver denied he was consuming alcohol. The officer asked him to exit the vehicle and the 18-year-old complied. The officer could smell a stronger odor of alcohol coming from the man's breath. The officer asked him about it and the 18-year-old admitted to consuming three beers, the arrest report states.
He submitted to a field sobriety test and could not satisfactorily complete the testing. He submitted to a preliminary breath test with failed results. He was placed into custody and taken to jail. He submitted a evidentiary breath test with results of .141 and .146. He was charged DUI first offense, no insurance, suspended registration and minor consuming alcohol.

— A 29-year-old Dayton man was arrested Tuesday, 4:56 p.m. in the 1600 block of Hot Springs Road. He faces a warrant charge of being in violation of a protection order, dated March 18, out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.
– A 23-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday, 2:05 p.m. near the intersection of College Parkway and Imperial Way. She faces a misdemeanor charge of making a false report.
According to the arresting deputy, officers were dispatched the area on a report of a traffic accident with two vehicles involved. On arrival officers spoke with the 23-year-old as one of the two drivers involved. She had a warrant for her arrest out of Carson City Justice Court issued March 7, 2014 for allegedly making a false report. Bail: $1,000.
